Passover 2011

It's hands down one of my favorite nights of the year. I love Passover for all the same reasons I love Thanksgiving. Rather than this holiday being about STUFF...it's about gathering with people you love and sitting down to share food, community, and discussion. And at Passover (rather than at Thanksgiving), the Seder service forces the meal to SLOW WAY DOWN.

I love that the Seder we take part in every year also includes a lot of silliness (singing, finger puppets, face masks), Slivovitz (oy vey!), and usually some animated political discussion. Some of my very favorite things!

I'm always so grateful to our dear lifelong friends for sharing this holiday with my family.
