Just Getting Started

During these last few weeks of summer I've made pickles for the first time....
I picked A LOT of tomatoes from my garden and froze many of them to have later this winter...
And I made applesauce out of local apples (and plan to make some apple butter also..)
And I want to go even bigger next year. I'd like to pickle more than just cucumbers. I'd like to find myself a canning kit so I can make jam, can tomatoes (instead of freezing), and keep LOTS more applesauce.

Someday I'll have an entire pantry of canned goods from my very own big garden and a full root cellar. Yes I will! I can't wait....
